Day 10: Departure
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
On arrival, you will meet our representative for a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park. Enjoy scenic views of banana plantations, people’s homesteads, fruits and vegetable markets, royal drum makers en route and stopovers at the equator for photography and in Mbarara for lunch. Proceed to the park with a wide game view of animals like Uganda Kobs, Elephants, Waterbucks among others. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Enganzi Lodge.
Day 2: Game drive and Launch cruise
After breakfast, you will set off for an early morning breakfast to catch up with the morning game. Expect lots of animals including; elephants, Lions, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, Uganda kobs among others. After lunch, you will enjoy an afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel for a number of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and several water birds. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Enganzi Lodge.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park
In the morning after breakfast, you will embark on a transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest via Ishasha sector that gives a chance of seeing the tree climbing lions at a closer range. Continue to Bwindi with lunch en route and arriving in the evening for relaxation at Gorilla safari lodge/ Gorilla mist camp/ Bakiga lodge
Day 4: Gorilla trekking and cultural walk
After a heavy breakfast, you will head to the forest immediately after the briefing in search for the gorillas. This will take you about 2- 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorilla in the wild, meet and stay with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour as this will make you forget the difficulties you went through while searching for them. On return, you will have a cultural walk to the Batwa (Pygmies) where you will enjoy the different practices in their unique culture. Dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla safari lodge / Gorilla mist camp / Bakiga lodge
Day 5: Transfer to Volcanoes National park (Rwanda)
Wake up for a transfer to Volcanoes national park. The drive goes through the beautiful countryside and peoples homesteads along with dramatic views of the Virunga Volcanoes. Reach in the evening for a check in at your selected lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge/La Palme Hotel / Muhabura Hotel
Day 6: Gorilla trekking and nature walk
After breakfast, you will assemble at the park headquarters for a second gorilla experience. This gives an opportunity of exploring the difference in Gorillas of Rwanda and those of Uganda. In the afternoon, you will have a nature walk to the twin lakes. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge/La Palme Hotel / Muhabura Hotel
Day 7: Golden monkey trekking / Dian Fossey hike and Transfer to Lake Kivu
In the morning after breakfast, you will either go for a golden monkey trekking that also rewards sights of other primates like the Olive baboons, Colobus monkeys among others or take a visit to the Karisoke research center for a hike o the Dian Fossey tombs. After lunch, transfer to Lake Kivu for a boat ride on Lake Kivu. Dinner and overnight stay at L. Kivu Serena Hotel Palm garden resort/ Paradise Malahide
Day 8: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
After breakfast, set off for Nyungwe Forest National Park. It is a scenic drive that goes through people’s homesteads and different hills of Rwanda – the land of a thousand hills. Arrive in the afternoon for dinner and overnight stay at One and only Nyungwe house lodge/ Gisakula Hotel.
Day 9: Chimp trekking and Canopy walk/ Colobus monkey trekking
After a heavy breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters to track the chimps that also gives an opportunity of encountering a variety of forest birds. In the afternoon, you may have a canopy walk in the forest or chose to go for Colobus monkey tracking where you will encounter other primates. Dinner and overnight stay at one and only Nyungwe house/ Gisakula Hotel
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast, you will set off for Kigali with en route visits to Nyanza King’s palace for a cultural visit, Butare national museum, Murambi genocide museum among others reaching Kigali in the evening for a transfer at the airport for your departure flight.
