4 Days Double gorilla trekking tour in Rwanda’s Parc National des Volcanoes located in the north of Rwanda where about 300 mountain gorillas live. This safari offers you 2 gorilla trekking experiences, nature walks coupled with Kigali City tour which will introduce you to the colorful markets, genocide memorials and craft centers are the main areas of interest
- Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes NP
- Day 2: First Gorilla trekking & Cultural /nature walk
- Day 3: Second gorilla tracking
- Day 4: Golden monkey tracking or Dian Fossey tombs tour
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali & Transfer to Volcanoes
Pick up from either airport or hotel by our company tour and will brief you about your safari. You will then depart for Kigali for a city tour, have lunch in Kigali and later drive to Ruhengeri – Volcanoes national park. Dinner and overnight stay
Day 2: First Gorilla trekking & Cultural /nature walk
Have an early breakfast and head to the park headquarters with packed lunch & water for a briefing from one of the park rangers about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas then proceed to track the gorillas. Time take searching for these Gentle giants ranges between 2-8hours depending on the movement of gorillas. Dinner and overnight stay
Day 3: Second gorilla tracking
Start your day with breakfast and head to the park headquarters for your second gorilla trekking experience. The second trek offers you another chance to enjoy gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park. You can choose to visit the same gorilla group or a different one. Relax in the evening at the lodge.
Day 4: Golden monkey tracking or Dian Fossey tombs tour
Have breakfast early, and head out for golden monkeys tracking in the bamboo forest. Return to the lodge for lunch and leave for Kigali, if you missed a city tour on the first day, then we do it here to Gisozi genocide memorial site, local art & craft shops, do last minute shopping before heading to the airport for your departure flight.
