A 13 days best of Uganda safari takes you to fascinating parks in Uganda. This safari starts with a trip to Jinja,the Source of River Nile. White water rafting at the source of the Nile river is one of the most fun adventure activities that you can experiences. The safari then heads to Murchison Falls where the mighty River Nile explodes through a narrow gorge and flows down – the river banks are filled with hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks and buffaloes, the safari then goes to Kibale national park for wild chimpanzee tracking, the to Queen Elizabeth NP a savannah park for game drive and boat ride along the Kazinga channel where you will view Thousands of hippos along the Lake shores, then head to Bwindi national park for the breathtaking life time adventure of gorilla tracking and finally visit lake Bunyonyi commonly known as the Switzerland of Africa in Kabale for a cool off and lastly drive back to Kampala for departure.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport
On arrival at the Airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative. Depending on the time of your arrival, Early arrivals will enable you visit some places in Entebbe like Botanical gardens, Snake Parks and the Entebbe Zoo. However with late and evening arrivals, your driver guide will transfer you to your Hotel in Kampala for dinner, refreshments and overnight stay at Serena Hotel / Sheraton Hotel / Cassia Lodge
Day 2: Transfer to Jinja
After your breakfast at the Hotel, you will transfer to Jinja and the journey will offer you with sights of the en route flora and Fauna in Mabira forest and also a stopover at Sezibwa falls. The falls are on Sezibwa River which is the only river believed to be born by a human being. Detour the Mabira forest where you will enjoy spontaneous views of the bird life and monkeys at this spot. Proceed to Jinja where you will visit the mighty Source of River Nile. Dinner and overnight stay at Jinja Nile Resort for Luxury/ Nile Anchors Palace or Sun Set Hotel for mid range/ Cool Breeze Hotel for Budget
Day 3: Horse Riding & White Water Rafting
After morning breakfast, take horse riding one of the best ways to experience the African bush is on horseback. Rom Jinja all riders novice to experienced, will enjoy their leisurely trails offering stunning views over the wide Nile fringed by lush riparian woodlands rattling with birds and odd monkeys. Return to lodge and have refreshment relax and then go for Kayaking adventures, Jinja offers an excellent spot for kayaking in Uganda. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 4: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park
After an early morning breakfast, you will transfer to Murchison falls National Park via Kampala for lunch. En route to the Park you will stopover in Masindi town for refreshments and later proceed to the park entering through the Kichumbanyobo gate. Upon arrival, you will transfer to your assigned lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Paraa Safari Lodge or Chose Safari Lodge or Nile Safari camp for Luxury/ Sambiya River Lodge for Mid range/Red chill campsite for Budget
Day 5: Game drive and launch cruise along the Albert Nile
After breakfast, you will set out for game drive on the northern sector of the Park. Here you will search for the early risers where you will be able to spot animals like Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Warthogs, baboons, Giraffes, Water bucks, bush bucks and so on. If you are a lucky visitor, you can also spot the Leopard. The game drive can take like 4-5 hours and this is the longest game drive in all Uganda’s game parks. Return to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will set out for the launch cruise along the Albert Nile where you will enjoy the cruise and can be able to spot animals like hippos, crocodiles, Oribis, buffalos and the wonderful bottom of the falls. Return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Paraa Safari Lodge or Chose Safari Lodge or Nile Safari camp for Luxury/ Sambiya River Lodge for Mid range/Red chill campsite for Budget
Day 6: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After a morning breakfast, you will drive to Fort portal town with lunch en route in Hoima. The journey will reward you with spectacular views of the magnificent scenery as you drive through the traditional homesteads and farms on your way to Kibale. Reach Fort Portal in the evening and then proceed to Kibale Forest National Park. Dinner overnight at Primates lodge (Luxury)/ Chimp’s nest (Midrange)/Chimpanzee Guest house (Budget).
Day 7: Chimp tracking and Bigodi Swamp walk
Upon having breakfast in the morning at your lodge, you will go for the life time Chimpanzee tracking experience in their natural environment and habitat. You will first report to the Park Headquarters at Kanyachu for a briefing about the chimp trackers code of conduct by a UWA official and then later go for the morning chimpanzee tracking experience. You will penetrate into the forest under the guidance of an armed ranger for the tracking. Besides the chimps, you may spot other primates and these include: Varvet Monkey, L’hoest, Blue Monkey, Red-Tailed Monkey, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Black And White Colobus Monkey and many more. Return back to the lodge for Lunch and later go for the afternoon Bigodi swamp walk to search for different bird species. Dinner and overnight at Primates lodge (Luxury)/ Chimp’s nest (Midrange)/Chimpanzee Guest house (Budget).
Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will leave Kibale Forest National Park and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is the most popular protected area with a stunning location on the rift valley floor between Lakes Edward and George. En route to the Park you will enjoy a game drive that will expose you to different wildlife species such as Elephants, Buffalos, Uganda Kob and if you are lucky, you may also spot the Hyena, Lions, Leopard and perhaps the Giant Forest Hog. Day 9: Game drive and afternoon Launch cruise
After your breakfast, you will go for the morning game drive in Kasenyi area to search for different wildlife animals missed out in the previous game drive. Later visit the Katwe explosion craters. Here you will spot Kitagata Lake and the enormous Kamengo Crater and this will give you clear view of different wildlife around the Park. In the afternoon, go for the launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel where you will be rewarded with wildlife sights of species like the Hippopotamuses, Waterbucks, Crocodiles and a variety of Water Birds like the black bee- eater, several species of falcons and the raptors. Day 10, Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park via the Ishasha sector commonly known for the rare tree climbing lions. These are basically found in the tall fig trees and acacia trees. Have lunch at Ishasha as you spot the hippos in the Ishasha River. You may also spot buffaloes, leopards, Kob and topis on the plains of the area. Proceed to Bwindi for refreshments, dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Resort or Mahogany Springs or Gorilla Forest Camp (Luxury)/Lake Kitandara or Buhoma Lodge (Midrange)/Buhoma Community Bandas or wagtail eco safari camp (Budget)
Day 11: Gorilla tracking
After breakfast, you will report to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about the mountain gorilla trackers code of conduct. Later you will penetrate through the impenetrable forest for a more adventurous and exciting lifetime experience of Mountain Gorilla tracking. You are all reminded to go with your packed lunch and bottled water since the tracking duration depends on the ease to see the gorilla that day and where they slept the previous night. Besides the Gorillas, you will also spot other forest wildlife like the Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Red Tailed Colobus, Blue Monkey, L’hoests and baboons and many more. Retire for dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Resort or Mahogany Springs or Gorilla Forest Camp (Luxury)/Lake Kitandara or Buhoma Lodge (Midrange)/Buhoma Community Bandas or wagtail eco safari camp (Budget)
Day 12, Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After your breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi via the commonly known area as the Switzerland of Africa Kabale. The journey will offer you with sights of the beautiful terrain of the rolling hills with terraced landscape. Upon arrival at Bunyonyi, have lunch and later carry out an afternoon boat ride on the lake which will reward you with sights of different birds on the many small islands on the lake. Day 13, Transfer to Kampala
Today wake up at leisure and have your breakfast, after breakfast and transfer back to Kampala. Reaching by evening in time to catch your flight back home
